In this workshop, we will immerse ourselves in the world of sound and expand our auditory repertoire. Using the simplest means and a variety of objects, we will create sounds, produce sound effects, and bring atmospheres to life.
The first part of the workshop will proceed without the use of any electronic tools. The focus is entirely on the craft. In the second part, participants can introduce their own ideas and bring materials or figures to use. Additionally, we will experiment with microphones, mixers, samplers, etc. This part is open to everyone, with or without technical knowledge.

About Max Bauer:
After training as a drummer and sound engineer and working on band and theater projects across Europe and South America, Max Bauer assisted Foley artist Mel Kutbay in Munich from 1992 to 1994. Since then, he has worked as a Foley artist, musician, and sound designer for films, radio plays, and theater productions both on stage and in the studio.
As a resident artist at the legendary Meloton Studio in Munich since 1994, he has contributed to over 300 international film productions, including numerous festival winners that have been honored with Oscars, Lolas, or Lions. Over the past 20 years, he has taught at various universities (e.g., UDK Berlin, HfS Ernst Busch Berlin, HMDK Stuttgart, Munich University of Music...) Max Bauer is a founding member of the transnational Kula Compagnie in Berlin, with performances in France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Serbia, Norway, and China.
