Aleksandra Gosławska (P)
Stand-up

From 14 years | Duration: 50 minutes

MINORITEN GROSSER SAAL
Friday March 14, 2025 | 9:00 p.m.

Aleksandra Gosławska takes the audience into her world with the genre of stand-up, presenting a tragicomic story about her own artistic journey. It is a story about difficult moments on the way to puppetry and about puppetry itself. The monodrama combines the bitterness of the truth about this profession with the comedy that is so typical of stand-up performers. Her collected experiences with nearly thirty rejections from drama schools turn out to be a brilliant idea for a tragicomedy. The piece is a strong voice of the young acting generation trying to find a balance between life and art. As a result, it sparked a broad discussion in the art scene.

The piece was awarded in 2023 at the International Festival of Theatre Schools SETKÁNÍ/ENCOUNTER in Brno in the "Playwright Performance" category and won the Grand Prix at the 2023 International Monodrama Festival in Tychy, Poland. It was also shown in Germany at festivals in Potsdam (RADAR - Festival for Young Puppetry) and Leipzig (ABOUT DAMN TIME: Expeditions into Young Puppetry).
