The main idea of the performance is to create a sound forest theatre, built from materials found in nature. In this theatre, forest plants, trees, fruits, and other natural elements come to life as musical instruments or parts of the scenography.
The central storyline of the performance follows a hedgehog and his best friend, the bear, based on children’s tales by Russian author Sergei Kozlov (1940–2010). The hedgehog and the bear live together in the forest and explore it; they meet other animals, observe nature, and experience the seasonal changes in their woodland home. Through their friendship, the stories explore themes such as companionship, trust, loneliness, tolerance, sensitivity, wonder for the surrounding world, and the joy of life. Alongside the hedgehog and the bear, children embark on an adventure filled with lessons about life, its challenges, mysteries, and joys.
