A story about the usefulness of white lies, about self-confidence in seemingly hopeless moments, and the realization that the small can become great and the great can become small — if only you want it to!
The piece breathes the air of petty crime, flimsy vaudeville shows, and a world in which only wit, the questioning of authority, and a few crooked tricks can secure the good life. What seems predetermined and fated can, when necessary, be changed, circumvented, questioned, or pushed aside.
The playful world of the circus, pirate fantasies, charlatanry, and theatre — this is the best place to learn the self-confidence needed for such acts of subversion!
About the Group:
Sabine Köhler and Heiki Ikkola have been working together as a company since 2006, bringing together theatre-makers, visual artists, and musicians for their projects in teams that explore and further develop working and living strategies over extended periods of time. The credo of their theatre work is an engagement with the foreign, the other, the unknown, and the impossible. Their work knows no genre boundaries and yet is anything but a mixed bag.
