“Rucke di guck, rucke di guck,
There’s no blood in the shoe;
The shoe is not too small,
The true bride walks home with you.” Cinderella marries the prince and moves happily and in love into the castle with him. The wicked stepsisters are thrown out onto the street. Stunned, they sit before the ruins of their story. All that remains to them is an old suitcase, their childhood doll’s house. In search of the reason for their misfortune, the sisters lose themselves in playing with their old dolls, and the fairy tale of Cinderella comes back to life. With great joy in playing and plenty of wit, Kaufmann & Co. retell the old fairy tale in a new way.
About the Group:
For over 20 years, Alexandra and Eva Kaufmann have been creating productions for children and adults. They trained at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. Their works are characterised by innovative forms of realisation, playful wit and creativity, in which poetry and humour are equally present. Again and again, their productions reveal something surprising and profound. The ensemble is known far beyond the borders of Europe.
