Exhibition Christoph Bochdansky (A)
From February 27, 2025, Bochdansky's creations will welcome visitors in the foyer of the city theater during office hours and during events at the city theater.
Christoph Bochdansky has been a long-time, well-loved guest of the festival. Far beyond the borders of Austria, he is known not only for his puppet artistry but also for his unique signature in puppet making.
This is what Bochdansky says about himself and his puppets:
“The puppet is a great seductress; she entices us to cross over to her side. Her side is the inanimate. Clever as she is, she seeks a connection with the puppeteer to show life in its wonderfully fantastic nature together with him. It’s a magic I’ve been captivated by my whole life. What does a puppet's heart weigh? It is light, for with a light heart she performs every act, even the greatest misdeeds.”
Mon, Tue, Thu: 08:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 16:00
Wed: 08:00 to 13:00 | Fri: 08:00 to 12:30
