United in constant and silent togetherness, the figures move through the people and question death with childlike curiosity. When you are no longer here, you can no longer mourn yourself. "Therefore, this must happen now," thinks the donkey. Perhaps one can see the other side from the window of the house?
With music, with (shadow) images from the past and future, and through encounters, the donkey and the house approach personal and collective mourning processes. In preparation and wise foresight, they invite the audience to take part.
About the Group:
The Kollektiv Schroffke! is a puppetry collective founded in 2022, based in Leipzig. It consists of puppeteers Franz Schrörs, Jo Posenenske, and Liesbeth Nenoff. In their works, they explore the animatability of the invisible. They are also united by a love for textiles, miniatures, and works that lie at the boundaries between installation, concert, and theater.
