"SUPER or the Loneliness of Cold Cuts" is the everyday story of three protagonists whose workplace is a supermarket in an inhospitable future.
A chamber play in three acts, where three performers draw the audience into a dystopian retro-futuristic world brimming with loneliness, secret desires, loyalty to the system, and the monotonous dreariness of daily life. When will this sorrowful carousel finally come to a halt?“I work hard, I work well. I defy the mold with cheerful zeal. So much good for little cost, because Super offers what the customer wants. I am small, my space is clean, I will not falter, because Super must be.”

About the Group:
Seth Tietze was born in 1990 in Berlin and studied contemporary puppetry at the HfS “Ernst Busch” Berlin from 2017 to 2022. During the 2020/21 season, Seth worked as a puppeteer at the Studio of the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen. "SUPER or the Loneliness of Cold Cuts" is Seth's graduation project at the HfS “Ernst Busch” and the second collaboratively developed independent production with Lina Mareike Wolfram, following "FÜNF." (2020). Seth is non-binary and uses the pronouns he and they/dey.
“I want to tell peculiar stories about unconventional characters and beautiful freaks. To question power dynamics. To build worlds. To stagger, stumble, sweat, and think together. To step outside myself – into other bodies, lifeless objects, and fictionalized realities. To enjoy the complicity with the audience that makes all this possible. To examine cracks and flaws. And: I want there to be something to laugh about.”
Kai Liesegang (*1987) completed a Bachelor’s degree in German Studies and Philosophy and is currently studying documentary film direction at the Filmarche in Berlin. In this context, Kai produced the documentary Dalit Defenders and was involved in camera work, editing, and scriptwriting. In recent years, Kai has extensively researched migration topics, producing newspaper articles, short films, and podcasts in this area. "SUPER or the Loneliness of Cold Cuts" is his first theater project.
Lina Mareike Wolfram was born in 1998 in Plauen, Saxony. From 2017 to 2022, she studied contemporary puppetry at the HfS “Ernst Busch” Berlin. During her studies, she performed at the Volksbühne under the direction of Claudia Bauer and at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Together with Seth Tietze, she co-created the piece "FÜNF.", which was invited to various theater festivals, including at Theater Dortmund. "SUPER or the Loneliness of Cold Cuts" is her graduation project.
Nathalie Wendt (*1992) studied puppetry at the HfS “Ernst Busch” Berlin (2011–2015) and works freelance as a puppeteer, actress, director, puppet maker, and author. She has performed at Schauspiel Frankfurt, Theater an der Parkaue Berlin, Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, and built puppets for Schauburg Munich. Nathalie collaborated with the independent theater collectives DAS HYBRIS and KREATUR, co-developed the queer feminist standup tragedy format THE HEROINE SHOW with Victoria McConnell, and produced the philosophical podcast THE BULLET. Her productions have won multiple awards at the Freisprung Festival in Rostock (second place in 2016, 2019, and 2021). She has also taught as a guest lecturer on “Hybrid Forms” and “Hand Puppetry” at the HfS “Ernst Busch.”
