A hundred or maybe five years ago, there once lived a man and a woman who were poor and had nothing in this world but a cow. But one day they even had to sell the cow, and the man set off with it to the market. On the way he met a strange fellow who persuaded him to trade his cow for a pot. “You certainly won’t regret it,” he said, and the man agreed… What his wife thought of this, how the two of them came to enjoy the most delicious meals, and why the king later came to visit their miserable little cottage – all of this can be seen in this story.
About the Group:
Gernot Nagelschmied (born 1965) has been fully devoted to puppetry for three decades. During this time, around four handfuls of productions have been created, based on fairy tales, picture books, theatre texts and his own stories. Countless performances for children and many festivals have accompanied him on his journey from yesterday into tomorrow.
