Once upon a time there was a prince who wanted to marry a princess, but she had to be a real princess. So he travelled all over the world to find one, but everywhere something stood in the way. There were princesses enough, but whether they were real princesses he could never quite be sure; there was always something about them that was not quite right.
About the Group:
Lille Kartofler Puppet Theatre from Langenfeld in the Rhineland is the work of puppeteer Matthias Kuchta. For 35 years he has been staging fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm and the Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen with his impressive, large-scale fabric puppets. He is a true audience magnet – from Osaka, Vancouver and Boston to Paris, Copenhagen, Dublin and Rome. Matthias Kuchta has been a regular and much-appreciated guest at the Puppet Theatre Festival in Wels for many years.
